I created a deviantART account just to comment on this piece. This is remarkable - So touching, in fact, that I was inspired to write a poem. I hope you don't mind if I post it here; I thought you should see it, as it was brought from your beautiful piece. :]

I could never imagine What it felt like to cry, To truly cry, Until you came And left As quick as the night.
You punctured deep, Letting it all ooze out. There can be no eruption, For you cut too far, The will Taken.
It would be too good, so unlike you. You would rather it leak, Slowly, Slowly, Slowly, Burning away at my surface, Burning away at my foundation.
But, you see, no matter the heat, It will only help me build. It will only make me stronger, Make me harder, Make me older, Make me wiser, Make me Me.
I will grow, For it is in my nature, And what is intended.
This ooze... I realize now What it is. It is love. No, not the love that you Are so familiar with, so in-tuned, But a more trustworthy sort. The love Of Earth Herself.

I could never imagine
What it felt like to cry,
To truly cry,
Until you came
And left
As quick as the night.
You punctured deep,
Letting it all ooze out.
There can be no eruption,
For you cut too far,
The will
Taken.
It would be too good, so unlike you.
You would rather it leak,
Slowly,
Slowly,
Slowly,
Burning away at my surface,
Burning away at my foundation.
But, you see, no matter the heat,
It will only help me build.
It will only make me stronger,
Make me harder,
Make me older,
Make me wiser,
Make me
Me.
I will grow,
For it is in my nature,
And what is intended.
This ooze...
I realize now
What it is.
It is love.
No, not the love that you
Are so familiar with, so in-tuned,
But a more trustworthy sort.
The love
Of Earth
Herself.
